Hi! Welcome to My So-Called Cosmic Life!

We are figuring this out together, and may not always get it right on the first try, but we hope this blog inspires you to listen to the signs the universe sends you, and helps you to feel empowered to pave your own unique path.

Rising Signs

Rising Signs

Your Rising Sign is the Zodiac Sign that was rising on the Eastern horizon at the time of your birth. It is also known as your Ascendant. This sign represents the moment you became a separate human being, beginning your independent existence in the world.

Your ascendant is referred to as the sign of the self; your self-awareness, self-sufficiency, and self-interest. This is often the sign that first reveals itself to people. You may have a Sun in Aries, but come across to people more like a Cancer, because Cancer is your Rising Sign. This sign governs your outer personality and how you interact with other people.

This sign is also said to have an effect on your physical characteristics, which makes sense as your physical self is most often the first thing someone new will see.

To figure out your Ascendant, you can again go to alabe.com and get a quick computer generated birth chart. I would then recommend reading about your three major signs; your Sun Sign, Moon Sign, and Rising Sign. Look at all three and try to recognize how your signs influence you.

My Sun is in Cancer, my Moon is in Pisces, and my Rising Sign is Sagittarius. My moon amplifies the effects of my sun, as both are water signs. Emotions run super high with me, and I have a strong intuitive side. But then Sagittarius is thrown in. A fire sign! I can feel the conflict between my signs at times, but it also makes things pretty exciting. I am such a home body, but my fire also makes me pretty spontaneous and adventure loving.

Getting to know my signs and bringing them together as a whole has helped me accept parts of myself that I didn't always feel great about. It's helped me judge myself less and notice my behaviors and how I might be able to make small changes in ways that will still be true to who I am. I highly recommend looking into your own chart and again, please don't hesitate to send any questions my way. It's even more fun to look at your chart with someone else. We're all in this together:)
