The Pink Moon was exactly full at 2:08am today, 21 degrees Libra. We'll be feeling the energy of this moon for the next couple weeks until the new moon arrives. Native americans gave each full moon a unique name as a way of keeping track of time. April's moon is named after the pink flowers that start to bloom this time of year, and marks the first moon of spring.
Just like the season itself, the first spring moon ushers in a time of change and new beginnings. It's a time to let go of what's no longer serving you. Clean out your closet, rearrange your furniture, try to look at your life in a new way. Allow yourself to be inspired by the energy of the Pink Moon and start a project; create something new.
While the Moon is in Libra, the Sun has been in opposing Aries since March 20th. This sun position is providing us with a forward motion energy, pushing us to take action and get a lot done. This moon position will bring up thoughts and feelings around our relationships, social life, and balance. Jupiter also being in Libra adds some weight to these areas. This is a good time to ask yourself what is truly important to you. What values, beliefs, routines, products, foods, etc. align with who you are? Now is a time to incorporate these things into your life to support your relationships and to help you find balance.
If we are open to what this moon is offering, it's energy can help us manifest just what we need. Although the moon hit it's peak fullness early this morning, it will still appear full tonight. So get outside and do any of the following:
- Give your crystals a moon bath to cleanse them.
- Write down on a piece of paper a list of things you want to let go of, burn the paper under the moonlight and watch your list be taken by the night.
- Swim! If it's too cold to swim outside where you are, taking a bath will do the trick. Water is always cleansing and even more so during a full moon.
- Create a vision board with images of what you want to manifest into your life.
- Dance in the moonlight.
