The Equinox is when the day and night are in perfect balance. This tilt of the Earth happens just twice a year. When the day and night are equal length, it creates harmony between the time of creation (night) and the time of manifestation (day). This allows the flow between creation and manifestation to be more seamless and free flowing.
The March Equinox represents the starting of spring and a time where the energies of new birth and creativity are at their highest.
A statement has never been so true to me personally, as I gave birth to my daughter on this day last year. It also happened to be her due date, and on top of it all, she was born en caul. From the moment she entered the world, she changed my life. My first child, obviously taught me what love truly is, and honestly, what it feels like to constantly worry about how much I have to lose. But when Ruby was born, she was calm when I was suffering. She nursed effortlessly. She lifted her head when I spoke in her first 24 hours of life. She is strong. She is confident. She is stubborn. She is everything.
“It’s a perfect time to honor the growth and the pain, the light and the darkness and all the experiences that have made you who you are today. It is the perfect time to love yourself and learn to find gratitude and peace with the journey you are on.”

I had a reading this morning while thinking about my daughter and the past year. The cards pulled were the Queen of Cups, and the Third Eye Agate. The Queen of Cups symbolizes sensitivity, emotional harmony, and unconditional love. The Third Eye Agate is about tranforming your ideas into reality, limitless inspiration and imagination. I will keep these signs with me today as we celebrate how far we have come as a family and how much Ruby has grown in just a year. Time goes by so quickly, let's use this spring as a time to create something new, and focus that energy on making that creation come to fruition.
